Terms of Engagement & Allowances

The selected candidates for the position of Project Engineer–I will be engaged initially for a period of three years, which may be extended for one more year based on project requirements and individual performance.

Retention Bonus: ₹25,000 per completed year, payable at the end of four years (total ₹1,00,000).

Age Limit and Relaxation

• Maximum age: 32 years for General and EWS candidates (as on 01.11.2025).
• OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): Relaxation of 3 years.
• SC/ST: Relaxation of 5 years.
• PwBD candidates (40% disability or more): Additional relaxation of 10 years over the category limit.
• EWS/Caste/Disability certificates must be in the prescribed format as available on the BEL website.
• OBC certificate must be issued on or after 01.11.2024, and EWS certificate must be valid for FY 2024-25.

Educational Qualification

Candidates must have a B.E/B.Tech/B.Sc (Engineering) degree (4-year course) in any of the following disciplines from an AICTE/UGC approved college or recognized university:

• Electronics Disciplines: Electronics, Electronics & Communication, Electronics & Telecommunication, Communication, Electronics & Instrumentation, Applied Electronics & Instrumentation, Instrumentation & Control Engineering, Telecommunication
• Mechanical Discipline: Mechanical Engineering
• Computer Science Disciplines: Computer Science, Computer Science & Engineering, Information Technology, Information Science

Note: Candidates with specializations not matching the above list will not be considered. Candidates must attach their final/provisional degree certificate and proof of percentage conversion if the degree uses CGPA/DGPA/OGPA grading.

Experience Requirements

Candidates must possess minimum two years of relevant full-time industrial post-qualification experience as on 01 November 2025.

• Experience should include activities like project management, coordination with suppliers/vendors/design agencies, and installation or commissioning at customer sites.
• Teaching, research, internship, or training experience will not be considered as industrial experience.
• Experience certificates from previous and current employers are mandatory and must specify the period of employment and post held.
• Work experience indicated without supporting documents will lead to rejection.

Application Process

Interested and eligible candidates must pre-register online using the QR code provided in the advertisement by 20 November 2025 (23:00 PM). Only pre-registered candidates will be allowed to participate in the Walk-in selection process.

The selection process will include a Written Test followed by an Interview. Based on written test performance, candidates will be shortlisted in the ratio of 1:5 for interview in each category.

Weightage: Written Test - 85%, Interview - 15%

Note: Candidates must bring all required documents in original along with one set of self-attested copies, 2 passport-sized photographs, and the SBI fee payment receipt (if applicable).

• Payment Mode: Online via SBI Collect between 10.11.2025 and 20.11.2025

• Important Note: Fee once paid will not be refunded. Attach the payment receipt (e-challan) with the application form.

Selection Process

Selection will be conducted through Walk-in Selection of pre-registered candidates only. The process includes a written test followed by an interview. Candidates may be required to stay an additional day for the selection process.

No TA/DA will be paid for attending the Walk-in selection. The decision of BEL regarding eligibility and selection will be final and binding.

• Number of posts may vary depending on the actual requirement.
• Incomplete applications or applications without enclosures will be rejected.
• Candidates must have a valid and active email ID for communication, which should remain valid for at least one year.
• Selected candidates must be willing to work anywhere in India and travel extensively as per project requirements.
• Candidates must be covered under a medical insurance policy for ₹2 lakhs and life insurance for ₹5 lakhs at the time of joining.
• BEL reserves the right to cancel, modify, or change selection criteria and number of posts without prior notice.
