Eligibility Criteria

Essential Qualification

• Candidate must have any Science Graduate degree from a recognized university.
• Candidate must have one year of work experience.

Desirable Qualifications

• Proficiency in using computer applications including MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of statistical software, if any.
• Good communication skills in Hindi and English.

Work Responsibilities of Research Assistant

The selected Research Assistant will be responsible for performing various activities related to breast cancer screening and health education under the project "Screening of Breast Cancer & Health Education".

• Training of ASHA workers.
• Arrange breast cancer screening camps and health education sessions with ASHA workers.
• Perform general examinations and Clinical Breast Examination (CBE) during camps.
• Prepare health education materials.
• Monitor the work of ASHA workers fortnightly.
• Counsel reluctant participants for Self Breast Examination (SBE) as informed by Health Workers.
• Counsel participants who are found positive during screening.
• Conduct breast examinations with staff nurses.
• Provide support to patients and their families if breast cancer is detected.

• Qualification, experience, and other terms and conditions may be relaxed or altered at the discretion of Director AIIMS Rishikesh / Recruitment Committee.
• No other allowance or facilities apart from consolidated salary shall be admissible.
• The decision of the Recruitment Committee will be final.
• Submission of wrong or false information during the selection process will disqualify the candidature at any stage.
• If the performance of the appointed candidate is not found satisfactory by the Principal Investigator/Nodal Officer, the appointment can be terminated at any time without prior notice or compensation.
• The appointee may be relieved from the current job position by serving one month prior notice.
• If the notice period is less than one month, an amount equal to one month's salary will have to be deposited for obtaining the relieving certificate.
