AIIMS Rishikesh Recruitment 2026 for Counsellor, Nurse & Data Manager (Contract Basis)

The Addiction Treatment Facility (ATF), Department of Psychiatry, AIIMS Rishikesh has invited applications for the recruitment of Counsellor, Nurse, and Data Manager on a purely contractual basis under the National Action Plan for Drug Demand Reduction (NAPDDR). The project is supported by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment (MoSJE), Government of India and is nationally coordinated by the National Drug Dependence Treatment Centre (NDDTC), AIIMS New Delhi.

Application Process

Eligibility Criteria

Selection Process

Roles and Responsibilities
Counsellor
- Assist the Medical Officer in assessment and diagnosis of patients.
- Provide initial counselling and motivation enhancement.
- Ensure regular patient follow-up.
- Conduct one-to-one psychosocial counselling sessions.
- Conduct group counselling sessions for patients and family members.
- Undertake field visits whenever required.
- Provide referral services for substance use disorders and other health or social needs.
- Coordinate with other hospital departments to improve referrals.
- Conduct community awareness programmes.
- Establish linkages with NGOs working in the community.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Nodal Officer.
Nurse
- Dispense medicines prescribed by the doctor.
- Maintain medicine dispensing records.
- Provide first aid in the absence of the Medical Officer.
- Maintain stock management records.
- Perform duties assigned by the Nodal Officer.
Data Manager
- Register new and follow-up patients.
- Create clinical files for new patients.
- Maintain records as prescribed under the scheme.
- Prepare monthly reports under supervision.
- Assist nursing staff in stock record maintenance.
- Assist in maintaining project accounts under guidance.
Terms and Conditions
- Incomplete applications will be rejected.
- Minimum qualification does not guarantee selection.
- The Selection Committee's decision shall be final.
- No TA/DA will be paid for interview or joining.
- The appointment is purely contractual for 11 months.
- The contract may be extended as per ATF Scheme policy.
- Performance and conduct will be reviewed periodically.
- Unsatisfactory performance may result in immediate termination.
- The appointment does not confer any right for permanent employment in AIIMS.
- Experience should be obtained after acquiring the essential qualification.
- Qualifications and experience may be relaxed at the discretion of the Nodal Officer.
- Candidates must follow all institutional rules and discipline.
- The candidate should not have been convicted by any court of law.
- No additional allowances or facilities other than consolidated salary shall be admissible.
- Applicants already employed elsewhere must produce a relieving certificate before joining.
- The selected candidates will work only under the ATF Scheme, Department of Psychiatry, AIIMS Rishikesh and shall not become direct employees of AIIMS.
- The administrative control of these posts will remain with the Nodal Officer, ATF.
- The posts are funded by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India.
- If any information or declaration is found false or suppressed, the candidate may be removed from service at any stage.
- Either party may terminate the contract by giving one month's notice. Leave balance shall not be adjusted towards the notice period.
- The appointment is full-time, and private practice or any other professional practice is strictly prohibited.
