Roles and Responsibilities of the Nurse

• Dispensing medications as prescribed by the doctor.
• Maintaining records related to medication dispensing.
• Providing first-aid in the absence of the medical doctor.
• Maintaining records related to stock management.
• Performing any other duty assigned by the Nodal Officer.

Application Process

Eligibility Criteria

• Essential Qualification: ANM (preferable: GNM / B.Sc. Nursing)
• Experience: Relevant experience after acquiring the minimum essential qualification is preferred.

Age Limit

• Upper Age Limit: 40 years (as on the last date of application – 18.11.2025)
• Relaxation: May be granted for deserving candidates as per institutional rules.

Selection Process

• Selection will be through offline screening test and/or walk-in interview.

• The decision of the Selection Committee at AIIMS Rishikesh will be final and binding. No representations will be entertained.

Employment Terms and Conditions

• Appointment is purely temporary and contractual for a period of 11 months from the date of joining.
• The contract may be extended depending upon performance and approval from the funding agency.
• Either party may terminate the contract by giving one month’s notice. In case of failure to provide notice, one month’s salary shall be payable.
• No right to regularization or permanent employment is conferred by this appointment.
• Performance and conduct will be periodically reviewed. Unsatisfactory performance may result in immediate termination without notice.
• No TA/DA or joining allowance will be provided for attending the interview or joining the post.
• Private practice of any kind is strictly prohibited during the tenure of appointment.
• Applicants already working elsewhere must produce a relieving certificate from their employer before joining.
• The appointment is full-time and requires adherence to the conduct and discipline rules applicable to AIIMS employees.
• In case any information provided is found to be false or concealed, the candidate will be terminated immediately and appropriate legal action will be taken.
• Salary/remuneration may be revised as per instructions from the funding agency or prevailing NHM norms of Uttarakhand.
• The selected candidates will be employed under the ATF project in the Department of Psychiatry, AIIMS Rishikesh.
• All administrative matters will be managed by the Nodal Officer for ATF at AIIMS Rishikesh.
