Position Details

Employment Type and Tenure

• The engagement shall be purely on a contractual basis.
• The initial period of engagement will be one year including a probation period of three weeks.
• The tenure may be extended on a year-to-year basis depending on performance evaluation, subject to a maximum of three years.
• After completion of three years, no further extension will be permissible under any circumstances.

Scope of Work

1. Analyze markets and identify crop-specific markets for export opportunities.
2. Identify commodities with export potential in international markets.
3. Promote value-added organic and ethnic produce exports and support GI products.
4. Encourage production of export-quality produce to ensure international market standards.
5. Strengthen backend and frontend infrastructure for export of fresh and processed products.
6. Establish institutional mechanisms for creating an enabling environment for export growth.
7. Frame long-term strategies for increasing exports of agricultural and allied products.
8. Promote districts as export hubs.
9. Increase the regional share in India’s overall export basket.

Remuneration

Eligibility and Age Limit

• Upper Age Limit: 45 years
• Candidates must meet the essential qualifications and experience as specified for the respective posts.

Selection Process

• Shortlisting of candidates will be based on eligibility and qualifications.
• Shortlisted candidates will be invited for an interview.
• No written examination is mentioned in the notification.
• The decision of APEDA regarding selection will be final and binding.

Working Hours and Leave Policy

• Working hours: 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday to Friday (half-hour lunch break).
• Associates may be required to work beyond office hours and on weekends or holidays as per work exigencies.
• Eligible for 20 days of leave per year on a pro-rata basis; unavailed leave cannot be carried forward.
• Up to one month of leave without remuneration may be granted with prior approval.
• Maternity leave will be provided as per the Maternity Benefit (Amendment) Act, 2017.

Termination Conditions

• Either party may terminate the engagement with a 30-day notice or pay in lieu thereof.
• APEDA reserves the right to terminate at any stage for unsatisfactory performance or misconduct.

General Terms and Conditions

• Engagement is subject to document verification and health certificate submission.
• Candidates must provide a police verification report and medical fitness certificate prior to joining.
• Associates are bound by the Official Secrets Act, 1923 and cannot disclose confidential information.
• Use of APEDA’s name, emblem, or seal without written permission is prohibited.
• Associates must follow the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013.
• The period of engagement does not confer any right for future employment with APEDA or any government department.

Travel and Allowances

Associates may be required to travel anywhere in India. During official tours, TA/DA will be admissible as per Central Government Pay Level 10 norms.
